The KVM experts will present new KVM products and solutions for multi-source managing for broadcast professionals
This fall, the KVM specialists from G&D North America Inc. (G&D) will showcase the latest KVM trends for broadcast professionals at NAB Show New York. Visitors will be able to experience the technology live at booth 832 from October 19-20 and get comprehensive consulting on their individual projects.
Intelligent KVM solutions for broadcasting and post-production
With the market’s broadest combinable KVM portfolio, G&D will also show how large, distributed IT installations can be implemented as efficiently as possible and thereby facilitate the work of broadcast professionals. KVM matrix switches form the backbone of the computer equipment in use since they provide producers with flexible, distributed access to remote computers – pixel-perfect, without any latency or delays and with perfect video quality. The peripheral-saving solution also reduces the noise level in studios and avoids unnecessary heat emissions, creating an ideal working environment for producers.
G&D offers perfect solutions for any individual requirements: from classic, dedicated KVM to IP-based KVM systems. Broadcast applications benefit from applying IP in many ways. Being able to use standard network components makes employing KVM-over-IP particularly interesting, because existing IT installations can be scaled more easily, flexibly and cost-effectively. Almost all components are plug & play devices, making it even easier to install and operate the system.
The new VisionXS – an absolute highlight in IP transmission
At NAB Show NY, visitors of booth 832 can look forward to discovering the new high-performance KVM-over-IP extender VisionXS. With 10G data transmission technology for an even better user experience and resolutions up to 4K, VisionXS combines great functionality and performance in a small housing. For this series, the manufacturer also relies on its proven, lossless bluedec™ compression, which enables authentic, pixel-perfect video experiences. As a special highlight, the integrated IP-MUX function lets a console device manage multiple target IP addresses from up to 20 computer sources without requiring additional hardware. For simpler applications, the on-screen display can be used to switch between different sources. Like any other G&D product, the new devices are fully compatible with existing models. The extensive combinability of the KVM systems ensures solutions that are suitable for all applications. This makes it even easier to plan and expand installations, even at a later date.
From multi-monitor workplace to adaptable solution
The PersonalWorkplace-Controller, the new highlight in G&D’s product portfolio, offers a great way of expanding installations and opening up a whole range of new possibilities. Displaying different screens on a single monitor simplifies the work of broadcast professionals immensely. This way, operators can keep an eye on all content without having to add more monitors to their desks. Depending on the application, the multi-viewing tool can display and operate up to 26 video sources on a single monitor. Here, different product variants allow for different purposes of use. In addition to the application on one or more monitors at a workplace, it is also possible to utilize the PersonalWorkplace-Controller to display the sources on a large video wall.
The advantage for broadcast specialists is an almost unlimited flexible layout with high image quality up to 4K60. The device optimizes workflows in all applications, where multiple signals need to be operated and monitored. Combining a KVM system with the PersonalWorkplace-Controller ensures secure, high-performance, and flexible access to all relevant computer systems. In addition to displaying physical sources, the PersonalWorkplace-Controller can also be utilized for showing virtual content in hybrid structures. Apart from physical outputs, it is also possible to stream content. Now content from video walls or personal workspaces can be accessed on different output devices, such as a laptop, smartphone or tablet.
