The demands in modern control rooms are continuously increasing. With the new VisionXS(-IP) 2.0, G&D responds to market trends and direct customer feedback. This new generation combines the proven quality of the Vision extender series with clear advancements in design and technology. It integrates the strengths of our previous products alongside new developments.
Key Advantages:
- Easy handling: USB Type-C for power supply and service, optimized interface layout
- Reliability & durability: Optimized housing, robust surfaces, mostly passive cooling
- Improved mounting options: Ergonomic, space-saving installation
- Customizable configuration: CAT or fiber transmission, with or without redundancy
- Integrated additional features: Separate USB-K/M interfaces, audio support, RS232 support (desktop versions) as standard
The result is flexible, high-performance devices that integrate seamlessly into existing systems, provide maximum reliability during continuous operation, and impress both functionally and visually with thoughtful, forward-looking design. The new VisionXS and VisionXS-IP 2.0 variants clearly demonstrate: maximum customer value, high efficiency, and complete security in all applications.
Optimized interface layout and innovative USB-C PD power supply
The new VisionXS 2.0 features an intelligently designed layout of connections: the operator station module interfaces are positioned for optimal cable management, a clear workspace, and straightforward maintenance even while in operation.
All variants include a USB-C PD interface, allowing convenient operation via an external power supply. Desktop versions also have an integrated power supply and allow simultaneous connection of both power sources. This provides redundant power, ensuring uninterrupted operation even if one source fails.
This combination makes the device suitable for a wide range of scenarios and allows seamless integration into existing infrastructures.

New housing design with optimized cooling
The VisionXS series now features a durable, powder-coated steel housing. Its lower profile ensures efficient heat dissipation even under demanding conditions.
Mounting options have been updated to allow more flexible and efficient installation across different environments – ideal for professional users in air traffic control, broadcast, or industrial applications. Rack mounting has also been improved: the new DeviceCarriers make it much easier to integrate VisionXS(-IP) 2.0 desktop devices into 19″ racks. Depending on requirements, single devices, up to three devices in 1U, or up to twelve devices in 3U can be combined. Under-desk mounting solutions are also available, allowing ergonomic and space-efficient installation outside of racks.
Full compatibility ensures flexibility
As is typical for G&D, the new devices are fully compatible with previous products. The extensive interoperability of KVM systems ensures suitable solutions for all applications, providing planning security and enabling easy expansion of installations even after deployment.
Conclusion: Maximum reliability in control rooms
In demanding control rooms, customers benefit from the evolved extender series: proven quality and performance ensure reliable signal transmission around the clock. Optimized, user-friendly interfaces simplify device connection and replacement, while the durable, robust surfaces reliably resist scratches and mechanical stress. The efficient cooling system ensures optimal temperature control even under high load, minimizing the need for active cooling. Flexible and cost-effective mounting options complete the package. The new VisionXS 2.0 is robust and durable, guaranteeing maximum reliability in critical applications.
