At the world’s largest AV trade show, Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), we will be presenting our latest KVM and video processing solutions for control rooms at booth 5G350 from January 30 to February 2, 2024. Users in control rooms are faced with the challenge of keeping an eye on many processes simultaneously. To assist operators in making efficient decisions in critical situations, our KVM and video processing solutions act as invisible helpers in the background and contribute to reducing complexity. Ergonomic workplaces are an essential requirement for control rooms with mission-critical applications. KVM systems contribute to supporting the demanding tasks of users and enable them to make efficient decisions, especially in critical situations. By outsourcing the technology, valuable space is gained in the control room, while heat and noise emissions are reduced. These measures enable optimal use of space and focused work. The new generation of the PersonalWorkplace-Controller: the all-rounder for every control room
A growing challenge for control room planners and integrators lies in removing barriers. With the increasing complexity and parallelization of work processes, ensuring clarity is a top priority. A common difficulty in control rooms and control centers is that a separate monitor is required for each process. However, the more monitors there are in a workplace, the more difficult it becomes to maintain an overview. The PersonalWorkplace-Controller now offers users the option of configuring their workplace individually with different computer sources. In this way, multiple video signals can be displayed either on one large monitor or on several screens to improve clarity.
At ISE, we will be showing the optimized versions of the popular multi-viewing tool for the first time. The PersonalWorkplace-Controller is an integrated solution for seamless control of complex processes in control rooms. It facilitates monitoring, control and coordination of image and video signals that are increasingly finding their way into these environments. Users can easily process visual information on multiple screens and coordinate activities. The real-time display of several computer sources on a large monitor and thus the latency-free operation of the computers via a single console increases efficiency and at the same time simplifies the user’s work. The high image quality and unlimited flexibility in the arrangement of the sources offer enormous added value. In this way, active work areas and monitoring areas can be set up ergonomically on larger screens. The layout offers almost limitless flexibility and impressive picture quality of up to four times 5K@60Hz.
Strengthening cybersecurity for maximum security
Reliability and security also play a major role in the planning and implementation of control room projects. Our KVM solutions cover numerous security aspects that can enhance cybersecurity and protect the entire infrastructure against failures. A critical and determining factor involves access rights. The integrated user and rights management allows access rights but also access restrictions for individual users to individual sources. The high flexibility of the user and rights management also ensures the effective separation of the available sources into different security levels. Our KVM systems, with a completely hardware-based structure, exclusively employ proprietary firmware and do not use vulnerable software, which increases the protection of critical information and data.
In view of the increasing importance of networked control rooms, the use of KVM technology can increase information security. Our KVM systems are able to manage different sources individually. Each source can be connected and used independently according to the configured authorizations. The sources are effectively separated from each other in terms of data communication, which completely prevents data exchange between them.
