In 2020, our company celebrated an important anniversary – the 35th year of its founding. Unfortunately, we had to forego a big celebration at that time due to the pandemic. But postponed is not canceled!
To properly celebrate the company’s anniversary after all, a special day took place this year: A joint trip to the German theme park “Phantasialand” in Cologne, followed by a barbecue.
Exciting rides, fun shows and a magical atmosphere
Last Friday morning, the big day had come. With much excitement, the colleagues arrived at the company site and boarded the bus with a tasty G&D snack pack containing all kinds of sweet and salty treats. On the way to Phantasialand, everyone fortified themselves to set out for the day well-prepared. The atmosphere was cheerful and exuberant.
After nearly an hour and a half drive, we arrived at Phantasialand in Cologne. The themed worlds full of imagination thrilled us as soon as we entered the park. Exciting rides, colorful shows and a magical atmosphere took us to another world.
Fun and adrenaline for everyone
Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or prefer a relaxed stroll through the park, there was something for everyone here. Fast-paced roller coasters such as “Taron” or “Black Mamba” with which visitors drive through curves, hills and loops at high speeds guarantee the adrenaline rush.
For those who prefer more relaxed rides, the theme park also has plenty to offer in the “fantasy” area. There are also special themed rides such as the indoor roller coaster “Winja’s Fear & Force” as well as the interactive “Maus au Chocolat”, where visitors can shoot animated mice with their laser guns.
With the summer temperatures, many also sought to cool off in Phantasialand’s various water rides and parks or enjoyed some delicious ice cream. Overall, Phantasialand offers a wide range of rides, from relaxed to exciting, and there certainly is something to meet all tastes.
Completing the day with a relaxed barbecue in Siegen
After the exciting time at the theme park, it became quiet in the bus on the way back to Siegen and many used the ride to rest. When we arrived in Siegen in the early evening, delicious barbecue dishes and cool drinks awaited us for refreshment. With vivid conversations and the dinner together, we let the day come to an end and are already talking about ideas for our next anniversary, which thanks to the postponement is actually not so far away.
