Innovative KVM solutions for future-proof control rooms at ISE 2025 in Barcelona

At ISE, we are presenting a new feature for enhanced security and solutions to improve efficiency in control rooms

At Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025, the world’s largest AV and systems integration trade show, we will showcase innovative solutions that significantly boost efficiency and security in control rooms. From February 4 to 7, 2025, visitors at booth 5G350 in Barcelona will experience firsthand how work environments are optimized with advanced KVM and multi-viewing solutions, as well as smart security features. These new developments offer impressive flexibility and robustness for managing critical infrastructures, enabling users to act quickly and effectively in challenging situations. Attendees can learn more about these and other innovations and discover their practical benefits for their specific needs.

DynamicWorkplace-CON: Flexible and Intuitive Workplace Design

The new DynamicWorkplace-CON improves efficiency and ergonomics in control rooms.

The new workplace module, DynamicWorkplace-CON, can be seamlessly integrated with a digital G&D matrix system in an overall installation. It enables the display of all relevant information on one or more high-resolution monitors. This allows for the consolidation of multiple CON modules and their associated monitors, resulting in an efficient, organized, and straightforward work environment. This integration significantly reduces the physical strain on users while simultaneously improving response times in critical decision-making scenarios.

The multi-viewing feature of the workplace module lets users manage up to eight sources across four monitors at once. Its seamless integration into existing G&D matrix systems is specifically developed for demanding environments. This innovation facilitates the use of the KVM installation in a particularly user-friendly way. Users can adjust the arrangement of individual signal sources in real-time, offering unprecedented flexibility and control, without sacrificing the functionality of a traditional KVM installation. The window manager of the new workplace module allows intuitive operation by enabling the free positioning and management of individual windows. Additionally, monitors can be arranged as desired, and windows can be moved across monitor boundaries. Once the DynamicWorkplace-CON is connected to the KVM matrix system, the user has access to a virtually unlimited number of applications that can be viewed and controlled via up to 8 windows on the four monitors.

Furthermore, audio signals, serial signals, and USB devices from any source can be individually assigned and used. With the DynamicWorkplace-CON, users maintain an ergonomic view of all critical data without having to shift their gaze from a central point. This leads to a significant increase in efficiency, security, and response times in control rooms.

PersonalWorkplace-Controller: Maximizing Efficiency and Security

The PersonalWorkplace-Controller enables flexible multi-viewing control and intuitive operation of multiple video inputs.

The PersonalWorkplace-Controller combines multi-viewing control and keyboard-mouse interactivity for one or more operators or video walls. Through local integration at the workplace, users gain flexible access to physical sources and streams. This makes the video processing tool ideal for less connected work environments. Modified arrangements of operational processes also significantly improve workplace ergonomics. The real-time display of multiple computer sources on a large monitor, and thus the practically latency-free operation of multiple computers via a single console, simplifies tasks. In this way, active work areas and monitoring areas can be ergonomically set up on larger screens.

In addition, the PersonalWorkplace-Controller offers flexible content transmission to various output devices, allowing users to access critical information from anywhere, whether on a laptop, smartphone, or tablet. This versatility is especially valuable in environments where flexibility is essential.

Our portfolio includes eight new variants of the PersonalWorkplace-Controller, each meticulously tailored to specific application requirements. These variants provide a range of connectivity options for nine to twenty-seven sources. They also offer impressive display features, with up to four 5K@60Hz outputs and a mirrored HD output.
Furthermore, these new variants enhance input flexibility as they support both direct digital video and fiber optic sources via the PersonalWorkplace-CPU-Fiber modules. These modules enable loop-through functionality via HDMI, DisplayPort, and HD-SDI, providing comprehensive and robust connectivity solutions for any workplace environment.

SecureCert: Highest Security Standards for Mission-Critical Applications

We underline our commitment to security with the introduction of the SecureCert feature, which ensures that the KVM-over-IP systems comply with strict certification guidelines for mission-critical environments.

SecureCert ensures that G&D’s KVM-over-IP systems adhere to the requirements of three key certifications: FIPS 140-3, Common Criteria and DoDIN APL. These standards are essential for security-critical environments, whether for data encryption, IT security policies or for use in sensitive networks, for example in government institutions. With this feature, operators can be confident that the products meet the highest regulatory requirements and can be used reliably in security-critical applications.

“Our customers worldwide are increasingly faced with the challenge of meeting strict security and certification requirements,” explains Thorsten Lipp, CEO at G&D. “With SecureCert, we provide a solution that not only facilitates adherence to these requirements but also makes a significant contribution to securing their systems.”

With this feature, G&D offers a robust security solution specifically developed to enhance the protection of sensitive IT infrastructures against cyberattacks.

Visitors to ISE can receive personalized consultations on innovative KVM solutions for control rooms and experience the products live at our booth 5G350 from February 4 to 7, 2025. G&D is a sponsor of the Control Room Summit at ISE 2025. On February 6, 2025, visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the evolving role of control rooms in today’s world through a presentation in the CC5.1 conference area.
