Our customers often ask questions about certain devices. That’s why we want to use this blog to answer some\u00a0 frequently asked questions. Here we go with the first question:<\/p>\n

How do I find the DVICenter device ID and serial number?<\/h2>\n

To find the DVICenter <\/a>device ID and serial number, you can use either the on-screen display<\/a> (OSD) or the Config Panel web application. To show the device ID in the OSD, proceed as follows:<\/p>\n

Finding the device ID in the OSD:<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Open the OSD, and use your login data to log in to the OSD.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \"OSD<\/a><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. The Select<\/strong> menu opens after logging in.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \"Select<\/a><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Press F12<\/strong> to open the Information<\/strong> menu.<\/li>\n
      2. Use the arrow keys<\/strong> to select Firmware information<\/strong> and press Enter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          \n
        1. Under ID<\/strong>, you can now read the DVICenter device ID.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          \"Device<\/a><\/p>\n

          Finding the serial number in the OSD:<\/h3>\n
            \n
          1. Repeat steps 1-3 from the paragraph “Finding the device ID in the OSD”. Or you can press Esc<\/strong> to return from the Firmware information<\/strong> menu to the Information<\/strong> menu.<\/li>\n
          2. Use the arrow keys<\/strong> to select Hardware information<\/strong>, and press Enter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          3. Under Serial number<\/strong>, you can now read the serial number of your DVICenter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Finding device ID and serial number in the Config Panel<\/h2>\n
              \n
            1. Use your login data to log in to the Config Panel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              1. In the directory tree, click KVM matrix systems > [Name] > DVICenter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                1. In the device list, right-click the DVICenter leader and select Information<\/strong> from the context menu.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  1. Under Device ID<\/strong> or Serial number<\/strong>, you can now find the device ID and the serial number of your DVICenter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
