New solution for flexible and reliable IT access in ATC control rooms is introduced at Airspace World<\/h2>\n

From March 19 to 21, 2024, we\u2019ll be showcasing its broad range of KVM solutions at booth L39. The company not only offers an extensive portfolio for ANSPs, but also premieres the DynamicWorkplace-CON, which aims to improve the experience of air traffic controllers in the future.<\/em><\/p>\n

KVM systems have become firmly established in IT infrastructures of ATC applications<\/a>. Whether in a tower, a remote tower, or an air traffic control center \u2013 Our KVM solutions offer flexible IT access, comprehensive redundancy concepts, reliability and contribute to increased cybersecurity. The systems extend and distribute computer signals, enabling latency-free, high-quality video transmission and allowing the operation of remote sources. The computers can still be controlled in real time from the control room, the air traffic control center, or the remote tower. KVM has become indispensable, particularly in mission-critical environments such as airspace surveillance. Our solutions optimize the IT infrastructure in these sectors and create optimal working conditions for both air traffic controllers and technicians.<\/p>\n

Cleared for takeoff: We\u2019re introducing the\u00a0DynamicWorkplace-CON<\/h2>\n

One of the challenges in air traffic control is\"\"<\/a>\u00a0managing different sources\u00a0of\u00a0information\u00a0such as radar images, weather data and flight information on several screens. By introducing a new workplace module (CON), this difficulty is elegantly solved. We\u2019re keeping up with the trend towards multi-viewing consoles in ATC control rooms, and we\u2019re presenting our latest product for the first time at Airspace World in Geneva: the DynamicWorkplace-CON. The product makes it possible to display all relevant information on one or more high-resolution monitors. This integration leads to a significant reduction in the physical workload of air traffic controllers, and at the same time improves reaction times for critical decisions.<\/p>\n

The CON module\u2019s multi-viewing function enables the simultaneous operation of up to eight computer sources on up to four monitors. The seamless integration into existing G&D matrix systems<\/a> is specifically designed for deployment in demanding environments such as air traffic control centers. The DynamicWorkplace-CON allows the consolidation of several CON modules and the associated monitors, resulting in an efficient, organized and therefore uncomplicated working environment. This innovation ensures that the KVM installation is particularly user-friendly. Users can adjust the arrangement of individual computer signals in real time, providing unprecedented flexibility and control. The new product\u2019s window manager enables intuitive operation by allowing the free positioning and management of individual windows. It is also possible to arrange monitors as desired and move windows across monitor borders.<\/p>\n

The brilliant image quality and unlimited flexibility in the arrangement of sources add significant value by allowing active work and monitoring areas to be ergonomically designed on larger screens. Up to four monitors with an impressive resolution of up to 4K @ 60Hz can be used simultaneously via the DynamicWorkplace-CON, ensuring superior visual performance for demanding applications. The console device is characterized by the integration of the proven, lossless compression technology bluedec™<\/a>, which guarantees an authentic, pixel-perfect video experience. In addition, audio signals, serial signals and USB devices from any source can be individually assigned and used.
\nDynamicWorkplace-CON provides air traffic controllers with an ergonomic view of all critical data without having to look away from the central control point. This leads to a significant increase in efficiency and safety in the control rooms. We\u2019re thus setting new standards, as the reduction in the number of monitors in the workplace, combined with the improved display and handling of information, represents a major step towards more modern, safer, and more efficient air traffic control.<\/p>\n

KVM solutions for mission-critical applications<\/h2>\n

Thanks to our long-standing partnerships with air traffic management organizations worldwide, we\u2019re well-positioned in the market and presents an extensive range of classic, uncompressed 4K-capable KVM products tailored specifically to the requirements of ANSPs. One outstanding example is the DP1.2-MUX3-ATC, a powerful KVM switch that enables ATCOs to control up to three computers from one workplace. This system\u2019s InstantSwitching technology enables fast switching operations, ensuring a seamless transition between primary and fallback systems.<\/p>\n
