Of course, we didn\u2019t want to miss out on such an event. Therefore, today&#8217;s blog post gives you an overview of the highlights we presented at our stand.<\/p>\n<h1><strong>Our IBC highlight: the new IP matrix system ControlCenter-IP<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>With the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gdsys.de\/en\/kvm-solutions\/digital-kvm-matrix-systems\/central-modules\/controlcenter-ip\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ControlCenter-IP<\/a> we presented our brand new matrix system for KVM-over-IP&#x2122; at IBC. The matrix enables the extension and the distributed switching of computer signals via standard IP-based networks on layer 3.<\/p>\n<p>Using the ControlCenter-IP, even the largest IT installations can be easily scaled and implemented over IP. Together with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gdsys.de\/en\/kvm-solutions\/kvm-extenders\/kvm-over-ip-extender\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extenders for KVM-over-IP&#x2122;<\/a>, the ControlCenter-IP ensures pixel-perfect video quality, high performance and maximum reliability in broadcast-typical control rooms.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview from the event, our colleague Benedikt Hartmann shows you what else the ControlCenter-IP has to offer:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LoAjiq0gRHU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2><strong>ControlCenter-IP excites visitors with real 4K over IP<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We at G&amp;D are not the only ones excited about our new IP matrix. The visitors to our stand were also amazed at the device&#8217;s complex range of features. A special highlight and by no means to be taken for granted: the transmission of 4K over IP. Even at high resolutions, the system delivers optimal, pixel-perfect and latency-free image quality for the best possible hand-eye coordination.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2253\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2253\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/csm_ccip_systembild_320525edff.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-2253 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/csm_ccip_systembild_320525edff-300x192.jpg\" alt=\"Highlight at IBC: G&amp;D's new KVM-over-IP matrix ControlCenter-IP\" width=\"300\" height=\"192\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/csm_ccip_systembild_320525edff-300x192.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/csm_ccip_systembild_320525edff-768x490.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/csm_ccip_systembild_320525edff-940x600.jpg 940w, https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/csm_ccip_systembild_320525edff.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2253\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">ControlCenter-IP<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As G&amp;D&#8217;s Marketing Director Jochen Bauer follows up the trade fair, he is delighted with the visitors\u2019 reactions: &#8220;The enthusiasm we received for the ControlCenter-IP was a great confirmation for us that our new matrix has hit the nerve of the industry. Especially the possibility of CrossDisplay-Switching without using an additional device and the transmission of real 4K at 60 Hz was extremely well received by the visitors&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>IP-only? Not necessarily.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>But we weren\u2019t at IBC to present new IP devices only. Notwithstanding the advantages of transmission over IP, for some applications classic KVM systems are more suitable. For this requirement we offered the new expansion stages of our matrix system ControlCenter-Compact. Recently, we\u2019ve added six variants with 176 and 128 CAT ports as well as mixed variants with 32 fiber ports and optionally 16, 32, 48 or 80 CAT ports to our portfolio.Again, Jochen Bauer draws a positive conclusion: &#8220;Whether IP or classic KVM, CAT or fiber \u2013 with our one-stop shop for KVM, we are always able to offer our customers a suitable and tailor-made solution according to their project requirements&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Optimum interoperability<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2255\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2255\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/csm_GD_IBC2018-Partnerships_39d28b1f46.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-2255 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/csm_GD_IBC2018-Partnerships_39d28b1f46-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Video wall operated with devices from different manufacturers shown at IBC\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/csm_GD_IBC2018-Partnerships_39d28b1f46.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/csm_GD_IBC2018-Partnerships_39d28b1f46-272x182.jpg 272w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2255\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">How interoperability works at G&amp;D<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At the show, the new IP matrix proved itself in an application used in many broadcast control rooms. Several computers and video servers which can be accessed via KVM-over-IP&#x2122;, a video mixer from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rossvideo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ross Video<\/a> and a live camera that feeds live signals to the Ross video server via SDI showed how even devices from different suppliers interact perfectly.<\/p>\n<p>The large screen used in the application was controlled with VuScape \u2013 a high-performance video wall controller. This way, you can display images completely flexibly on several displays.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, we integrated the broadcast control system KSC Core from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bfe.tv\/\">BFE<\/a>\u00a0including a control panel into the application for fast and intuitive control of the entire system. This way, we could perfectly demonstrate at our booth how <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/2018\/02\/07\/interoperability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interoperability<\/a> works today.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>8K display combined with G&amp;D KVM extender<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2257\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2257\" style=\"width: 278px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/8K_IBC.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-2257 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/8K_IBC-278x300.jpg\" alt=\"8K display from Sharp \" width=\"278\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/8K_IBC-278x300.jpg 278w, https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/8K_IBC-768x828.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/8K_IBC-950x1024.jpg 950w, https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/8K_IBC-556x600.jpg 556w, https:\/\/blog.gdsys.de\/en\/files\/2018\/09\/8K_IBC.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 278px) 100vw, 278px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2257\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">8K display combined with G&amp;D KVM extender<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Another &#8211; extremely detailed &#8211; highlight was Sharp&#8217;s 8K display, which we presented in combination with the KVM extender <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gdsys.de\/en\/kvm-solutions\/kvm-extenders\/dp12-visionxg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DP1.2-VisionXG<\/a>. The 70 inch screen displays single frames at 33.1 million pixels and has a resolution of 7680 x 4320 pixels \u2013 four times as high as the resolution of 4K displays.<\/p>\n<p>The DP1.2-VisionXG system is a powerful KVM extender to extend high-resolution 4K and 8K video signals at 60 Hz \u2013 pixel-perfect, uncompressed, without any loss and latency-free. It also transmits 8K resolutions up to 10,000 m via optical fibers. This allows remote computers to be operated even if they are not directly available at the workstation.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Thank you for visiting us<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For us this year&#8217;s IBC has once again been a great opportunity to exchange ideas with users, partners and future customers.
